Entry Level Librarian Civil Service Exam Program

If you are planning on taking the Civil Service Entry Level Librarian and/or Children's Entry Level Librarian Exams this fall, CLASC and SCLA are hosting a program to help you prepare for these tests.

Cheryl Caniano of Suffolk County Civil Service will present strategies for test-taking success on Wednesday, October 10 from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm at Sachem Public Library in Holbrook. Light dinner will be served at 6:00, Cheryl's presentation will begin at 6:30.

You do not need to be a member of CLASC or SCLA to attend. Non-members are asked to contribute $5 cash at the door, the event is free for CLASC and SCLA members.

While enjoying warm summer days, CLASC is asking you to think about the September issue of the Trumpet! Email Jackie DeStefano at jads4624@gmail.com with any "Banner Programs," "Heard it in the J-Room" stories, "Best Thing I Read in a Children's Book," and articles about ALA, Book Expo, or any other event members would like to share. Attend Brooklyn Book Festival's Children's Day with CLASC Members!

CLASC is organizing a trip to the Brooklyn Book Festival.
If you've ever thought about going to this FREE, yes FREE, star-studded event but didn't want to go it alone, now you don't have to!

All you'll pay for is your train fare to Brooklyn. The group will meet at the Ronkonkoma LIRR station (or Huntington LIRR station if that's more centrally located for those attending) and take the LIRR to and from Brooklyn. Easy!
