New Book Seminars are Back!

Fall is just around the corner, and so is the return of the new book seminars by CLASC!

To get things rolling, we will be discussing the graphic novel Mr. Wolf's Class, by Aron Nels Steinke, and will be kicking off the discussion with a chat with the author! Please bring questions and comments about Mr. Wolf's Class, as well as a recently published book to flash talk for the group.

Join us at the Smithtown Library's Kings Park Building on September 24th @ 9:30 am.

You do not need to be a member of CLASC to attend. Please RSVP by September 17th to ekanelos@smithlib.org.

Entry Level Librarian Civil Service Exam Program

If you are planning on taking the Civil Service Entry Level Librarian and/or Children's Entry Level Librarian Exams this fall, CLASC and SCLA are hosting a program to help you prepare for these tests.

Cheryl Caniano of Suffolk County Civil Service will present strategies for test-taking success on Wednesday, October 10 from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm at Sachem Public Library in Holbrook. Light dinner will be served at 6:00, Cheryl's presentation will begin at 6:30.

You do not need to be a member of CLASC or SCLA to attend. Non-members are asked to contribute $5 cash at the door, the event is free for CLASC and SCLA members.
