CLASC members are invited to submit proposals which feature unique, forward-thinking, replicable programs and services for youth which you have successfully offered at your library during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Call for Submissions: September 2020 Trumpet

 While it has been One Crazy Summer,  CLASC is currently looking for members to contribute any Member News, Professional Highlights, Heard it in the J-Room, Best Thing I Read in a Children's Book, and recommendations for programmers/vendors, both local and out of state, for the September Trumpet. We are also looking for members to share experiences (in words or pictures) from the time spent working from home. Submissions can be sent to jads4624@gmail.com by August 31st.

Save the Date: 2020 VIRTUAL Fall Literature Conference on Thursday, October 15th

 Please save the date and click here to view our attached brochure featuring registration and programming details for the 2020 CLASC Fall Literature Conference. The Islip Public Library is very excited to be offering a virtual visit including all libraries on Thursday, August 6 at 7:30 pm on the Islip Library's facebook page with author, Dan Gutman for grades 1 - 6. Join Dan for a fun interactive adventure in which he'll read one of his picture books, share a chapter of a My Weird School book that has not been published yet, talk about the power of persistence, and answer any questions you may have.
