Part Time Youth Services Position Opening at Commack Library
The Commack Public Library is seeking a creative, enthusiastic and energetic individual to
work in the Youth Services Department on a part time basis for up to 17.5 hours a week.
Duties and Qualifications:
• Experience in Youth Services with ages Birth - 5th Grade
• Creation and implementation of Library programs for Children and their caregivers.
• Strong readers advisory skills for children of all ages
• Technology skills, including digital library services
• Excellent customer service skills
Requirements:
• MLS from an ALA accredited institution
• Valid NYS Public Librarian Certificate (this is not a trainee position)
• Specific experience working in a Youth Services Department
Hours will vary between daytime and nights
Saturdays will be required
Starting salary: $30.49
