2025 Barbara Flescher Scholarship

It's that time of year and we are now accepting applications for the Barbara Flescher Scholarship! Must be currently attending an accredited graduate library school program, a resident of Suffolk County, NY and exhibit an interest in the field of Children's Librarianship at a public library. CLASC Inc. 2025 Election

The CLASC Inc. 2025 elections will take place in March and the results will be announced at the April Annual Membership Meeting.

We welcome anyone looking to get involved and help shape the future of children's services in public libraries in Suffolk County.

In order to be a nominee, one must currently be a member of the organization in good standing and be able to attend monthly in-person board meetings.

Board members may not serve more than 2 consecutive terms in the same elected position. You may nominate yourself or a colleague; however, you may not nominate anyone without their consent. All positions fulfill the "elected office" section of the Librarian Ill and above Civil Service exams.

Nomination forms will be sent to members by January 15 and are due back by February 15, 2025.
