November New Book Seminar

YOU'RE INVITED TO THE NEXT CLASC NEW BOOK SEMINAR
What are the qualities of a good early chapter book?

Authors like Shannon Hale and Kate DiCamillo have written outstanding fiction for an often overlooked but critical audience of young readers.  Join us for a group discussion of Newbery-winner Patricia MacLachlan's newest title, The Poet's Dog - only 88 pages - to park a discussion of quality fiction for young independent readers.

Following the group discussion, bring a noteworthy (published after 2010) early chapter book to recommend to 2nd and 3rd grade readers to flashtalk to the group.  The New Book Seminar is free of charge and open to all Suffolk County librarians and library students.
